Patriot has great conformation with over-all balance, a deep girth, long hip, short back, plenty of muscle, and a beautiful head.  He inherited his dam's loving disposition and is a joy to be around.  Patriot was green broke as a three-year-old, and at that time he was very responsive and obedient and never spooked on the trail or while he was being ridden down the road.  My daughter, who was fifteen at the time, was the one who rode him the most.

Patriot is bred for versatility.  His dam is an own daughter of Our Hide N Seeker.  Patriot has two AQHA Supreme Champions on his papers - Goldseeker Bars and Wonder Seeker.  In the fourth generation of his pedigree, he also has names such as Three Bars, Spanish Joy, Leo, Otoe's Wonder, and Jet Smooth.

We believe Patriot to carry both the grey gene and the roan gene.  He has both roans and greys in his pedigree.  He possesses roan characteristics such as scratches growing back his base color (black).

"Any color can be Roan, but the contrast is more easily seen on dark colors and the physical effect may be "masked" by other genes such as Grey or any Pinto or Appaloosa patterns or combination of patterns."  -- http://www.equinecolor.com/roan.html
